Safeway: Buy 4, Save $4- additional participating items

FINALLY had a chance to run errands after work today (my week has been chaos – I ended up working out of town 2 nights and then a PTO Meeting the other night) and my goal was to get to Safeway to do some shopping and scope out extra deals in the Buy 4, Save $4 promotion.

It was a fiasco from the beginning.  Here’s how the trip went down:

• The store was crazy busy.  Fridays are always INSANE at Safeway- especially when it’s near the first of the month.
• I got a bunch of stuff in my cart when I realized I forgot my coupons.
• Decided to buy the things I don’t need coupons for and come back tomorrow for the rest.  Put everything that needed coupons back on the shelves.
• Started to scope out additional items in the Buy 4, Save $4 promotion- reached for a pen in my planner.  No pen.  Dug through my purse.  Still no pen.
• Ok- I’ll just take pictures with my phone and look at them when I get home.  Turn on my phone and up pops a message that my battery is almost dead.
• Seriously?!?
• Took a couple photos, bought the strawberries I promised my 4-year old and checked out.
• I’ll try again tomorrow!
